DATA DELIVERY
Research documents are usually delivered in electronic form, usually PDFs. Whenever the quality of the source material permits, PDFs will be fully searchable and, when relevant, indexed with bookmarks.
Document delivery options include e-mail, FTP, CD- or DVD-ROM, or for very large jobs, USB memory stick or removable hard drive. Research findings can be delivered as text documents or presentations in Powerpoint format.
Print delivery options include loose-leaf presentation binders, spiral-bound books, and even trade paperbacks. Charts and visual aids are available in poster size, banner size or as transparencies.
Sortable data sets can be delivered in spreadsheets. We can deliver large document sets optimized for use with custom-indexed search utilities, for access from individual computers or over a network. Microsoft Access database services are available, but we generally don't recommend this format.
RATES
Our rates vary depending on your research needs. Basic Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests start around $500, which includes a single-topic request for up to three government agencies and digital processing of documents received, but does not include copying fees which may assessed by the responding agencies.
Before we accept any money, we'll give you our best estimate of what sort of response you can expect, but we cannot guarantee that documents will be released in response to your request, nor can we guarantee a time frame for document delivery. Some requests can be processed within weeks, but others take years to process.
Hourly rates apply for other research services, including:
FOIA Administrative Appeals
Organizing and analyzing research materials you have collected
Original research on a topic of your choosing
Rates typically run from $50 to $150 per man hour, depending on the complexity of your request and the uniqueness of the material being provided. Most jobs will run somewhere in the middle of that range. Electronic document delivery is complimentary, but additional charges apply for delivery of products in printed formats.

HOW IT WORKS
The Multifaceted Media Group is a full-service media and information consortium, providing a broad menu of information-related services. Our company is a hybrid structure, combining full-time staff and formal relationships with freelance professionals to provide customers with tremendous flexibility in designing and booking projects.
Multifaceted Media offers two ways to build a job:
Contract Directly
If you have a simple job and want to keep your overhead low, you can negotiate directly with our affiliated freelance members. Multifaceted Media provides some basic administrative and technical support in exchange for a modest booking fee, but your primary business relationship will be with the freelancer you select.
Managed Projects
When you have a complicated job requiring multiple people and skill sets acting in a coordinated manner, you can hire the company instead of searching for individuals. We'll assemble and manage a team for you -- selecting the best fit from our in-house and freelance talent, with project management in-house.
